Cancellation conditions for 'packages' and/or 'just hotel' bookings or 'just transfer' or 'just tour' bookings:

Individual hotel rate conditions and cancellation policies are outlined during the booking process. Transfer and tour booked individually and not part of a package, are non refundable once booked and paid. In case of changes and/or cancellations of any paid 'package' and/or 'just hotel' bookings, administrative charges will always be payable in addition to the cancellation penalties (if any) imposed by the individual hotels,  If not sooner according to this policy, all bookings will definitely become non-refundable on the 4th business day prior to arrival in Dubai (Dubai time zone).

Administrative charges:

These charges are imposed to all changes and cancellations made to paid bookings to offset our costs. Please note that these charges can not be waived under any circumstance:

USD 75 per booking with total value of up to USD1000 or for any changes requested to an existing booking.
USD 125 per booking with total value between USD1001 and USD2000.
USD 200 per booking with total value above USD2001.

Check-in and check-out times:

Unless otherwise specified, the check-in time at all hotels booked on this website is 2PM (14.00hrs) on the day of arrival you have selected. Check-out time at all hotels booked on this website is 11AM (11.00hrs) on the day of departure you have selected. The hotels booked on this website do not offer 24hr check-in facilities and early/late check-in/check-out fees apply (payable locally and subject to availability), in most cases equivalent to one night stay at regular rate.

UAE Visas:

Kompas Express does not process visa applications for the United Arab Emirates for bookings made through this site. UAE Visas applications have to be submitted directly by you through a third party supplier. Please check visa requirements in the convenience link on our home page. Failure to obtain a visa to enter the UAE does not constitute title for refund. Our cancellation policy applies even when the visa application has been rejected for whatsoever reason.

Missed pick-ups on transfers and tours:

No refunds on missed transfers or tours. Please carefully indicate the time you want to be picked up (start time) as that is the time our driver will be at the specified point. Allow sufficient time prior or after your flight, in calculating pick-up and drop-off times at Dubai Airports. We recommend allowing a minimum of one hour after arrival of your flight for airport pick-up and a minimum of three hours before your flight departure for hotel pick-up.

Minimum age:

The lead person on the booking must be at least 21 years old.


All featured hotels and services are subject to availability.


Valid service vouchers are always required by hotels and transfer/tour providers. It is important to check your vouchers to make sure that all the details are exactly as you requested. In the event of any discrepancy, please contact us immediately, as it may not be possible to make changes later.


If you wish to change your reservation in any way, we will endeavor to accommodate these changes, but it may not always be possible to do so. All changes are subject to availability. Any request for changes must be made in writing by the lead person on the reservation. You will also be required to pay any increase in the cost of your reservation as a result of your changes. Separate cancellation charges may be applicable for certain arrangements during peak periods. Changes made by us: It is unlikely that we will need to make any alteration to your travel arrangements, but sometimes circumstances change and alterations have to be made. We reserve the right to change your reservation at any time. If we make a major change, we will advise the lead person on the reservation as soon as reasonably possible. A major change is one that we make to your arrangements before your departure that affects an essential term of your contract. Example of major changes includes (but is not limited to): a change of accommodation to that of a lower official classification for the whole or a major part of your Dubai Layover. If we make a major change, we will offer you a choice of the following options: (1) accept the changed arrangements, or(2) accept substitute arrangements of comparable standard from us, if available (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of a lower value), or (3) cancel your reservation and receiving a full refund of all monies paid to us for it. You must tell us which of the above choices you wish to make within 72 hours of being informed of the major change we are making. If we do not receive notification from you about your choice within 72 hours, you are deemed to have accepted the option offered.


Payments must be made by credit card. Some payments made by credit card may incur in surcharges.


No refund will be made for any part of your reservation that is not utilized (e.g., extra nights, breakfast, activities, or other services). Refund claims should be submitted within 30 days of completion of your Dubai Layover. Refunds for credit card payments may take up to 45 days.


We reserve the right to alter the prices of any of the hotels, excursions, and other services shown on our website, in our brochures, and in other literature. The price of any Dubai Layover includes only the items specified in your reservation. Unless otherwise specified, it does not include items of a personal nature, including, but not limited to, travel insurance, meals, optional excursions, passport, visas, cots and food for infants, laundry, room service, mini-bar and hotel extras (including early/late check-in/check-out fees), hotel car parking (where applicable) or gratuities.

Definitions and responsibilities:

In these Conditions, "the Company," "we," and "us" means Kompas Express, whose principal office is 741 Bloor Street West, Toronto, Canada. These Booking Conditions, the Dubai Layover information on our website and any acceptance of your reservation by the Company form the sole basis of the contract between you and us. Your contract is governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the Ontario, Canada Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with the contract. These Booking Conditions apply equally to you and to all persons named in your reservation. When you make your booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party the terms of these Booking Conditions. Your Responsibilities: you must ensure that you and all members of your party have valid passports, visas, certificates of vaccination, and any other documents required to enter any country you are visiting, including transit stops, prior to your departure. We cannot accept responsibility for any failure to comply resulting in any costs or fines being incurred, and we advise you to check with the appropriate passport office(s) or consulate(s) in question if you have any questions. We shall not be liable for any changes to or cancellation of your Dubai Layover due to events beyond our control. Examples of events beyond our control include, but are not limited to, war or threat of war; riot or civil disturbance; political unrest; terrorist activity or threatened terrorist activity; industrial disputes or threatened industrial disputes; strikes, fire, floods, or other natural disasters; nuclear disasters; adverse weather conditions; acts of God; acts of government; closure of airports; or failure of a carrier, hotelier, or other person to operate services for any reason. For your own protection, we strongly recommend that you and all members of your party have comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the full period of your Dubai Layover. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance policy you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular needs.
